Lately I'm really into florals. I love this little scrap of fabric. It makes my heart smile!

I always have a red/white quilt in the works. Mostly scrap quilts from leftover blocks. I love red/white quilts ... I'm obsessed!

DIY - Carpet Removal

 DIY - Carpet Removal

The first April I started the carpet removal project in my sewing room. Unfortunately, my older girl cat has been urinating outside the litter box. Yes, I have taken her to the Vet but she continued to pee on the carpet. 

What a chore!

But now my sewing room smells so much better!

I'm treating the wood flooring with baking soda and a pet smell neutralizer spray.

It's working! Thank goodness! 

I will be painting this floor once I get everything cleaned up.

My red/white quilt collection continues to grow.

I'm still working on getting all of my completed quilt tops quilted. As always my talented friend, Sharon, does all of my machine quilting. 

I am always amazed by her talent.

This quilting pattern is called, Orange Peel.

I love it! 

On Saturday this past weekend I was able to get this quilt trimmed and ready for binding.

I will be making the binding for this one with the fabric I used for the backing.

I love these cute little mugs.

As you know I am obsessed with red and white quilts.

My Red/White Quilt collection continues to grow!

The day was warm, sunny, and beautiful. I enjoyed the day with my daughter.

I realize my Easter post is late but I've been behind as of late. Behind in most everything it seems but happy.

It was a glorious day!

Mug Rugs are fun little projects. There are countless tutorials on YouTube on how to make them. If you are looking for a fun little project, I highly recommend making a mug rug.

2023 Easter Basket - Starbucks

 2023 Easter Basket - Starbucks

This years Easter Basket theme was Starbucks. I make these Easter Baskets for my daughter, who at one time was a barista for Starbucks.

Thus the theme ...

I purchased the Starbucks fabric on Etsy

This year I purchased a .99 cent plastic basket to make the basket more sturdy and lined the basket with the Starbucks fabric.

I enjoy creating these Easter Baskets each year and this year was no exception.

My daughter loved her Easter Basket ... which makes it all the more special for me.

Chaos!

 Chaos!

Chaos presently reigns supreme in my life! In March I was promoted ... so between learning my new job and training my replacement in her new job ... it's been chaos!

My sewing room is my happy place. It is also where I relax and relieve stress.

I've been working on organizing my fabric scraps. It is a very relaxing activity for me.

I also worked on and finished my daughter's 2023 Easter Basket project.

I made some binding ... I presently have 4 quilts ready for binding!

One of these days I'm going to get them bound!
