Hedgehog Progress
Last weekend was full of sewing room fun and my high school reunion. Definitely a weekend to remember.
I made progress on my Colorful Hedgehog 💖
I love all textile mediums, I began this journey as a quilter. The art of quilting taught to me by my beautiful Grandmother, Dorothy. She also taught me how to crochet and I have since learned how to knit.

Weekend Vibes
Strolling Through My Photos
I was strolling through my camera feed on my phone ... I really am obsessed with Red/White quilts.
I'm going to share a few of my Red/White quilt creations with you. It is sort of fascinating to see them all in one place.
Put a little love in your heart ...
Like I said, I started this quilt back on March 6, 2020, on March 25, 2020 things shut down due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. I worked on these blocks everyday for almost a year and now it is a completed quilt top. The Pandemic continues with new variants appearing almost daily it seems. This quilt and my sewing room have kept me sane through Covid-19.
More Orphan Blocks
After finishing up the piecing of my Candy Crush 2.0 quilt ... I had a bunch of leftover "units". I didn't want there to be "units" that would repeat or have two of the same blocks next to each other, I ended up with more than a few extra "units".
This is typically how I end up with orphan blocks. While I am cleaning up after piecing a quilt I always try to tidy up the scraps leftover from piecing. Some times it is stripes other times it is blocks.
Quilts and Family
Needless to say many of the quilts that I make ... I make for my family members.
I always love it when I see the quilts in pictures that my family share with me. My sister is especially great about sharing pictures of my quilts in use.
