My second grandson has arrived! I am blessed beyond measure! Two healthy grandsons and two healthy mommas. 

GOD is so good and I am so grateful and so very thankful.

First and foremost, Momma and baby boy are both doing great!

My first grandson has arrived! Born at 9:19 on 09/19, healthy and handsome.

I am so grateful and so blessed with the arrival of this beautiful baby boy.

Blessed beyond measure!

My heart is so full, as I sit here trying to write this post I struggle to find the words to express the joy of this precious life. I will say it is so amazing to have the blessing of watching my child become a mother. Watching her hold and love her child is truly a feeling of completeness as a mother that I never realized was even possible. I simply do not have words to express the joy and happiness that I am feeling.

I just feel so honored and so blessed! Excited for the blessing of getting to watch this little guy grow and the opportunity to love him.

Let the adventures begin!

This morning 4th of July morning, my daughter and I went for a 3D ultrasound to see the baby boy.

Technology is simply amazing! The baby was very active and we got a lot of pictures of him. There are even a couple of 5D photos that were emailed to my daughter.

I am in total awe of these pictures. It's a very profound feeling for me to get to see my grandson before he even arrives. I am so blessed and grateful for these photos.

The end of January and the first week of February brought severe weather, lots of well below freezing temperatures, ice, and then snow. At my house we got almost 5 inches of snow.

One of my goals for 2026 is to hand-quilt one quilt top, one of the many finished quilt tops that I have that still need to be quilted and bound. So the first snowy weekend of February I began working on my hand-quilting goals.

It snowed all day on Saturday around 5 inches of snow and single digit freezing cold temperatures.

I trudged through the snow to fill my bird feeder, the birds were very happy and swooped in to dine.

This bird feeder was a birthday gift and I love it!

I have been enjoying this sight of birds in my feeder everyday since I put it up.

I'm ready for Spring ... 

Single digit freezing temperatures is not my idea of fun!

This year I gifted myself a new mailbox for my birthday!

And, I love it so much!

Yesterday, I spent a wonderful day at my brother and sister-in-laws house making cookies and candies. Every year I always plan to have a cookie and candy making day but somehow I never get around to it. This year, my sister-in-law made it happen for me. It was the best day and I enjoyed it so much.

This morning I opened birthday gifts that came in the mail last week. These two items have been on my wish list. I can't wait to get it set up.

And, I am still enjoying my annual birthday gift, the gift that keeps on giving.

My cup runneth over and I am so very thankful.

My baby girl came by my office and brought me a birthday cake and flowers.

Truly, I am blessed beyond measure and so incredibly thankful and grateful. My 62nd birthday has been nothing short of amazing!

I am extremely fortunate that my family always makes a big deal about my December birthday. When I was a child my mom would not stand for the dual gift. You know the one, this is for her birthday and Christmas, setting the tone that that was not appreciated or allowed. I've always had a birthday party or dinner and celebrated on my birthday (or before). 

Through the years my children have really embraced celebrating me and my birthday completely separate from the seasonal holiday trappings. And, this year has been no exception.

Dinner at one of our area's finest eateries, the Copper Cellar

A leisurely dinner with dessert, enjoying great conversation and each other's company.

From there a birthday shopping trip to a new to us jewelry store for a little birthday bling.

Our weather has been unpredictable ... I wasn't expecting a rainy weekend but I took advantage of the time the rainy weather provided sock knitting.

It was nice to be able to finish two pairs of socks in one weekend.

I make these cuff down socks for my sister for her birthday. Or at least I have made her these socks for her last two birthdays. These socks are more like house shoes, thick socks to be worn around the house when your toes are chilly.

I have been working on this toe up pair of socks for awhile.

I love this pattern and make it quite a bit.

The self striping yarn is Felicini by Knit Picks

I've already started another pair of toe up socks but I'm going to use a different knitted pattern for the leg of the sock.

My baby girl will be 33 years old on Wednesday! We celebrated her birthday yesterday.

We had lunch at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, then off to the Nail Salon for manicures and pedicures. Then we stopped by Joann's and the Dollar Tree, ending the day at the Euro Bakery and Market.

We had a wonderful day celebrating my girl.
