Apparently my fur baby has obsessive compulsive disorder ...

He has been licking all of his fur off!

He is now on Prozac ... which makes him a little bit sleepy and snuggly ... both of my fur babies enjoy snoozing on me in the morning while I have my first cup of coffee. I love these little critters.

For the past month and a half Booker has been to the vet 4 times as we have been trying to figure out what is going on with him. Let me tell you ... May was a crazy busy month!

I'm hopeful that June will be a bit more relaxed and that Booker will start feeling more himself ... and STOP licking, licking, licking, licking, licking ...

My sweet friend, Angie, got this "cat house" with scratch pad in the bottom of it for Booker and he absolutely loves it!!! I've been trying things to help distract Booker from all of the licking. New toys, I moved the furniture around so that he can perch in the front window and so on. This "cat house" has been a favorite for him. 

There is a bit of cat nip in the cardboard scratch pad inside the "house".

He loves it! 

Angie purchased the "cat house" at her local Aldi.

On the crocheting front ... I decided on the theme for my daughter's 2023 Easter Basket. You may or may not know that I crochet an Easter Basket for my daughter each year. So it seems that I am always considering Easter basket themes, designing, planning, constructing, and crocheting Easter baskets.

The theme for the 2023 Easter Basket is Starbucks!

My daughter was a barista at Starbucks when she was in college.

I think that this Easter Basket will be a special memory for her.

On the sewing ... handbag making front ... I made the Lola Purse from the Zombie Lola kit that I purchased from Natalie @sewhungryhippie.

I had a little trouble with the zipper but I think it turned out great! 

I love it!

I'm relatively new to making handbags. I've made several totes and larger bags that didn't have zippers or pockets on the inside. It is my goal to get better at handbag making.

I'm very interested in bag construction. For a few years know I've thought about making my own quilted luggage. GOALS!

And, who doesn't love baby yoda fabric for the lining of their new handmade handbag??

On the quilting front ... I started the Legendary quilt kit by Elizabeth Hartman.

I purchased the kit which included the pattern. I love all of the fabric choices. Unfortunately I can't remember who I purchased the KIT from, I will update here if I figure out who I ordered this from ... sorry ...

I spent an entire Sunday binge watching Netflix and cutting out all of the pattern pieces. I've made a couple of Elizabeth Hartman's patterns and for me cutting out all of the pattern pieces up front makes it so much easier. Easier for me at any rate. I use index cards to label the pieces.

I love this website, there is so much great information and there are YouTube video tutorials. There are also technique tutorials in slow-motion! It is simply awesome.

I do most of my sock knitting during my lunch break at work. I love those few minutes of knitting at lunch to relax. I'm always amazed at how much can be accomplished 15 minutes at a time.

I love this little quilt. I love quilt patterns by Elizabeth Hartman, they are just fun to make. This one was problematic because I tried a background fabric that did NOT WORK!

I love the backing fabric, it is a cotton flannel that is so soft. The machine quilt is absolutely

amazing. My longarm quilter is just incredibly talented. I'm a lucky girl.
