Brunch Sunday - Copper Cellar WEST

 Brunch Sunday

Copper Cellar WEST

I want this wine cellar ... swoon ...

We both started with the prime rib, salad, sides. I also got a little sliver of cheesecake and some fruit. It was a mimosa kind of brunch day.

I went back for a waffle and chicken. I also got more fruit.
My friend got a Winter Bliss cocktail and I stayed with the mimosas.

My friend also got an omelet from their omelet bar. Which looked delicious.
All in all it was a great brunch. I haven't been to Copper Cellar in years, it hasn't changed a bit.
It was a very nice Brunch Sunday.

Brunch

 Brunch

I enjoy eating out and visiting with family and friends over a good meal. Lately a good friend and I have been enjoying brunch one Sunday morning a month.

In February we went to Chesapeak's Downtown

We enjoyed a great meal and cocktails and tons of chatting.
Good Times!!!

This month we are going to Cooper Cellar (West)
I'm really looking forward to it.

Quilt Kits - Wash Your Paws Quilt 63 x 63

Quilt Kits

Wash Your Paws Quilt 63 x 63 inches

I absolutely had the best morning in my sewing room piecing this quilt kit together.
I purchased this quilt kit from

https://www.stitchsupplyco.com/collections/quilting-kits/products/wash-your-paws-quilt-kit

This is a great quilt kit. The fabrics are already cut and ready for sewing. Yes there are a few cuts needed and you will need to trim the half square triangles but the cutting is minimal. This would be a great kit and/or pattern for a quilting beginner.

The pattern is a free download at

www.woollypetals.com

The fabrics in this kit are so cute ... airplanes, ice cream cones, HELLO, cat faces, toothbrushes, ducks, and more. All very bright colors.

HELLO

MEOW MEOW!!!

YOU SCREAM, I SCREAM, WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!!!!

This quilt top went together so quickly. I pieced this quilt top in around 5 hours!

I love purchasing quilt kits - I especially like that all of the fabrics needed to piece the quilt top is included. Which means I don't have to search for the fabrics needed. Usually, the quilt pattern is included and sometimes the fabric needed for the binding is also include. Quilt kits do vary, so it is important to read the details of what is included in the kit.

Quilts In The Wild - Red/White Double Dip Quilt 60 x 72

Quilts In The Wild

Red/White Double Dip Quilt 60 x 72

Quilts In The Wild

#quiltsinthewild - I love taking pictures of my quilts outdoors. I have a small privacy fence that is perfect for these photos. I finished piecing this quilt yesterday and it was a beautiful sunny morning for snapping photos. I love this quilt ... there are 240 four patches in this quilt. Lots of cutting and sewing in this quilt but I really love my red/white version of Kairle Oaks of Virgin River Quilt Co. @kairleoaks on Instagram, Double Dip quilt. 15 Minutes

 15 Minutes

I'm always amazed how much can be accomplished 15 minutes at a time. Years ago my sister introduced me to a website call Flylady.

www.flylady.net

I highly recommend this website if you are overwhelmed by ... life it general. Flylady has tips and a method for taming the chaos in our homes and lives. One of the things that I brought away with me that has been a constant is the concept of how much can be accomplished 15 minutes at a time.

In the past week, I completed all of the blocks needed for my Red/White Double Dip quilt top.

I spent some time working on the pair of socks I currently have in progress.

I started working on establishing the healthy habit of drinking more water. At least 64 oz a day.

I got the binding on my Candy Crush 2.0 quilt.

I also got the binding on my Stash #13 quilt and got it packaged up to mail out.

And, last but not least I got 61 string pieced blocks started for my friends string pieced quilt project.

Check out the Flylady! It is totally worth it!

Strolling Through My Photos

 Strolling Through My Photos

I was strolling through my camera feed on my phone ... I really am obsessed with Red/White quilts.

I'm going to share a few of my Red/White quilt creations with you. It is sort of fascinating to see them all in one place.

It is crazy to see all of these creations in one place. I do love red/white quilts and pillows but I hadn't realized how much until I started looking through my photos on my phone.

Some of these quilts have been gifted, some have been sold, some have been donated, some are still in progress awaiting quilting and/or binding, but most of them are being used and enjoyed right here in my home.
