Sewing My Stash Scrap Quilt #18 - Batiks

Sewing My Stash Scrap Quilt #18

Batiks

I've been working on this scrap quilt for a while. I started this quilt a couple of years ago and just lost interest. Which is the reason that I completed Sewing My Stash Scrap Quilt #19 - Scrap Bag and Sewing My Stash Scrap Quilt #20 - Tula Pink Pandas before completing #18.

But this morning I decided to finish this work in progress scarp quilt and that is what I did. I also made the binding that I will need for this quilt.

70 x 85 inches

I'm amazed that I have completed 20 scrap quilts since January 2018. I have given 12 of them away as gifts, several are just completed quilt tops awaiting quilting and binding and several to them are still in my personal collection of quilts. I've really enjoyed piecing all of these scrap quilts and using a lot of fabric from my fabric stash. I love scrap quilts and I especially love making them.

Sewing My Stash Scrap Quilt #20 - Tula Pink Pandas

Sewing My Stash Scrap Quilt #20

Tula Pink Pandas

In March I finished my Candy Crush 2.0 quilt I made from Tula Pink fabrics. To make this quilt top you cut 2.5 inch squares, and then you make subset, and so on. I ended up with a LOT of extra subsets.

I had begun piecing the subsets into 10.5 inch blocks. Then while I was on vacation a few weeks ago, I purchased 1 yard of Tula Pink's Panda print fabric.

I spent Saturday morning cutting the 10.5 inch blocks from the Panda print. This quilt top went together really really fast. I already had all of the Tula Pink subsets pieced ... it was just a matter of cutting the Panda print blocks and sewing the blocks together.

Fur Babies

 Fur Babies

I got a reminder on my phone ... this week, 12 years ago I brought my little Jezebel home. She is an absolute mess and I love her.

My little Jezebel
12 years old on the 17th of July
We have spent many hours together in my sewing room.

She is one sassy gal!

She loves to snuggle in my lap. Anytime anywhere!
Two years later I brought Booker home ... he was already 2 years old. Both of my babies are rescues from Young Williams Animal Shelter.
They are both 12 years old and sweet as pie!

I πŸ’— my little fur babies!

Barware

 Barware

In recent years I have wanted to set up a wet bar and learn how to mix cocktails. Sort of like in the television show Mad Men. There is something fun and nice about being able to offer visitors a cocktail.

While I was in South Georgia I did a bit of barware shopping ...

All of my barware goodies fit perfectly into my little red cabinet.

I have beer glasses, wine glasses, shot glasses, champagne flutes, sorbet cups, brandy glasses and cordial glasses.

My barware is eclectic but leans toward mid century modern ...

All for around $50. total.

Oh yeah, and I got margarita glasses too! They were $0.50 cents each! HA!
🍷🍸🍹🍺
I'm very happy with my barware finds.
