I have my very own backyard Black Panther, Booker, my boy kitty ...

Booker loves to be outside. As of late it has been very cold and rainy so Booker hasn't had a lot of outside time.

This week it has been spring like ...

With the warmer weather Booker has been able to spend some time outside and he has loved every minute of it.

As you know each year I crochet an Easter Basket for my daughter and this year is no different. The 2023 Easter Basket process has begun.

This year's theme is Starbucks!

My daughter was a barista at Starbucks when she was in college. I think that she will really like the theme for this year's Easter Basket.

In years past I've thought about purchasing the small plastic Easter buckets to make my crochet basket more sturdy but just haven't done it. This year I purchased this little .98 cent pink bucket and it works perfectly!

Months ago I purchased the Starbucks fabric to line the Easter Basket this year. I've never lined the crocheted Easter Baskets but I'm trying to step up my Easter basket construction game.

I am lucky enough to have a wonderful machine quilter who is also a wonderful friend. This evening I have the pleasure of meeting my friend at our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner and to pick up these two quilts that she just worked her magic on.

I love getting quilts back after they have been professionally machine quilted. The quilting adds so much to a quilt.

This stool, which belonged to my grandmother, had spent many happy and useful years at my sister's house. I had been looking for a stool for my kitchen when I remembered this stool and wondered it my sister still had it. She did ... and she was willing to part with it and give it to me. Happiness is ... family ... and an especially generous and kind sister.

Thumbing through my fabric stash I find the perfect fabric for a cushion for my "new" kitchen stool. Happiness is ... finding the perfect fabric for your DIY project.

I have a few more supplies to gather ... a seat cushion (or foam) I can cover with the perfect fabric. This stool is already perfect in my kitchen, serving it's useful purpose and filling me with happiness!

I haven't been very successful in my sewing room as of late ...

I've lost my MOJO!!!

I've had this Churn Dash project on my design wall for a few weeks now, after taking the Denim & Lace project down ... 

The Churn Dash project wasn't doing it for me either ... so I took it down over the weekend.

On Sunday morning I started cutting this fabrics for this project ...

I purchased this cute pattern ...

I purchased the 2023 Quilter's Planner ... I wasn't going to purchase one this year, but I missed it so much. 

Taking the steps to get my quilting mojo back ... I miss my sewing room and all of the good creative energy that it provides my soul.

I'm thrilled to have my 2023 Quilter's Planner ... I love it!

Over the weekend, I celebrated my girl on her birthday!

The request was for meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and a birthday cake with chocolate frosting.

I've never considered myself a "foodie" but while on our Sister's Adventure Weekend, my sister and I found the most wonderful breakfast spot ...

This place ... it smells divine ... the food is mouth watering ...

The coffee and hot chocolate were on point!

Somehow this project stalled my quilting mojo DEAD IN IT'S TRACKS!

It is a wonderful quilt project, it is a great pattern, the fabrics are amazing ... but after getting 6 of the 12 blocks pieced my enthusiasm for this project just DIED! 

This project has been on my design wall for over 2 months.

I finally took it down and packed the entire project away to revisit another day.

I'm looking forward to getting back in my sewing room. Now that this project is off of my design wall I'm looking forward to getting back into my sewing room.

I'm down to my last bag of this glorious snack ... I'm going to have to make another Bucee's soon!

I had to take my car in for servicing, my daughter went with me to drop off my car and we decided to have breakfast at Waffle House.

I love Waffle House coffee and waffles!

I've been sick with a sinus and ear infection. I was home from work one day and this was my view. My fur babies were supportive and snuggled in with me.

A year ago I spent the day after Thanksgiving on the phone with Apple Support getting my computer wiped and updated. I was so proud of myself actually getting my computer cleaned up and updated. Once I got my computer up to speed, I decided to buy a MacBook cover, just a plain Navy cover that I now place all of my stickers on. I have no idea how I have ended up with so many stickers??
